Case Study: Air purification & disinfection solution for one of Africa's largest banks with MESP

Project introduction

The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited is a major South African bank and financial services group. It is Africa's biggest lender by assets. The company's corporate headquarters, Standard Bank Centre, is situated in Johannesburg. It started operations in 1863 in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The bank has been named Africa's most valuable banking brand.

Purification scheme

AirQuality Micro Electrostatic Technology MESP can collect bacteria and microorganisms attached to particles and kill them in a strong electric field, which also ensures the efficient removal of PM2.5 at the same time. MESP FAH air handling unit purifiers have been selected for the Standard Bank branch in Johannesburg, which are installed inside the 46 air handling units (air flow ranged between 6,000-40,000 CMH) in the large underground space to sterilize, disinfect and filter PM2.5. This provides clean and healthy air for different rooms.

The air purification results were noticeable, PM2.5 concentration went down from 250 PPM to lower than 20 ppm. The client also chose optional methanol filter that is installed inside the FAH which lowered the TVOC concentration from 1500 ppm to lower than 10 ppm for the whole building.

The air disinfection products developed with AirQuality MESP tech are officially certified by UL, CE, CB, RoHS, PSE and SII, etc. They are proven powerful, reliable and safe.
